Kaley Cuoco is an American actress and producer best known for her work in television, particularly for playing Penny on the enormously successful sitcom The Big Bang Theory. Born in Camarillo, California, in 1985, Cuoco began acting as a child and appeared in commercials and television programs before landing roles that established her as a recognizable young performer.

Her early breakthrough came with the sitcom 8 Simple Rules, where she played Bridget Hennessy. The series gave Cuoco significant exposure and helped establish her as a talented comedic actress. She later joined the cast of Charmed during its final season, expanding her television résumé.
